Madison Bowl Meet Flooding

Hey! Long time no post. Sorry to not update this more often. Anyways, if you haven't been aware the Madison area (more specifically the west side of Madison) had been hit with very heavy rain, leaving many areas flooded, including our bowling alley, Schwoegler's Park Towne Lanes.

The bad news is the bowling alley was pretty heavily damaged by the water. The whole place was underwater.

The good news is they are turning this around quickly. And work started on the alley a few days after the flooding happened. The bar and restaurant area are already open again to public, as well as the meeting rooms should be set to go. So, as far as our monthly furmeet what does this mean? Well, no bowling for a few months at least, but we are still planning on holding our meets here utilizing the meeting rooms for something like pizza, games and drinks. As well as feeling free to use the bar area for drinks and karaoke, etc.

At this moment we dont't have a date for September's meet, but will have it very soon, so stay tuned!

We very much love Schwoegler's for all they have done for us over the years, and want to show them support, so please come out and spend some money, maybe we can get together a donation pool, more on that coming soon! Thanks guys!

Wisconsin Badgers Tailgating Fursuit Outing!

I want to thank @huscoon for organizing this event and everyone who took part of this.
On Saturday November 11th, 2017 some local, and non-local, suiters got dressed up and took to the streets of the Downtown Madison area around Camp Randall to entertain the tailgaters and the people attending the Wisconsin Badgers vs Iowa Hawkeyes game that day.

Sun Prairie Open Ice Skate Meets!

Hello, VazDrae here! Just wanted to make this post to inform you of the Open Skate Meet we informally started a few months ago. It all started with Arco, and Myself wanting to learn how to ice skate, so we started going to our local ice arena's open skate on Sundays, and kept inviting more people to it, and it sorta turned itself into a meet.

It is located at the Sun Prairie Ice Arena at 838 Grove St in Madison's suburb of Sun Prairie, WI. To the left is a map so you can see where abouts it is in the Madison area.

The open skate is every Sunday and starts at either 3pm or 3:30, it depends on how the ice arena schedules it. We will post it on the WI Furs Twitter, but also check out Sun Prairie Ice Arena's website for the open skate start time for that week.

Open skate cost is $5, skate rental is $3. You can bring your own skates as well if you have them.


This is not a full on formal meet. This is a NON-FURSUITING event. Its about going and learning ice skating with friends. We sometimes go get dinner after the meet, there is a restaurant & bar in the ice arena itself which is very good, or we get dinner somewhere else in the Sun Prairie area.

Kitsune Kon 2017

Hello everyone! I know, it's been a while since we have updated with a blog post here. I apologize, and plan to start keeping this more updated.

 Anyways, Colby Pup wanted to get in reach about the Kitsune Kon anime convention held in Green Bay every year in July, and its furry attendance.

Madison Furry Bowling Is The 12th This Month!

Just wanted to give everyone the heads up that the monthly Madison Furry Bowling will be held on November 12th this month instead of the 19th. This is because of Daisho Con, which is going on up in Wisconsin Dells that weekend, so there isn't any major conflicting issues.

Event Photos!

You may or may not have noticed the event photos slideshow on the bottom of each page on the site. Thought It's a neat little touch. The current photos are quite old, and when I take photos at events they are usually with my smartphone, or I forget... I'm usually quite drunk during most meets... mostly.

Anyways, If you have some photos you'd like to contribute to the site for everyone's view-age, please do so! Just send an email to: djaesch@gmail.com with your images attached in a .zip, or a link to cloud service such as Google Drive with the photos available to download with a single click.

Madison Bowl Date Change For April!

Update update update!!! The Madison bowl for the month of April will be held on April 23rd as apposed to the normal April 16th. This is due to a tournament that will also be going on at Schwoegler Park Towne Lanes at the same time.

So mark your calendars, tell your friends! Don't want anyone coming all the way up from Chicago or way up 'nort to come to nothing.
